GGS U’15 rugby girls won their first silverware of season on Wednesday 7th March in their North Schools Cup encounter against The Gordon Schools, Huntly. The tables were turned from last year, when TGS won the trophy for the first time. The girls put on a strong performance in Elgin to win the cup, exhibiting the best structure they had ever shown and working really well as a team. Rucking from new S1 player, Julia was excellent and kickers Emily and Jen were on excellent form, converting all but one kick. Tries rolled in from Gemma, Jen, Rosanna and Eilidh. Backed by a great pack of Forwards, the girls were always pushing forward and the whole team should be very proud of their performance, the big win and improvements made to their game in a year.

Final score
Grantown Grammar School : 52, The Gordon Schools :7.
