On Tuesday 4 December a Business Breakfast was held in Grantown Grammar School. The purpose of the meeting was to explore embedding careers and career education into our curriculum. A further purpose was to extend the network of businesses that work with the school.
It is hoped that these links will allow business to come in regularly to classes, allow pupils to participate in on site work experiences and placements. It is also hoped that staff will be able to visit these businesses to explore how they may promote pupils learning in different contexts.
Thanks must go to Eilidh Edgar and Andy Maxtone from DYW as well as Shireen Hadnett from SDS for helping to set up the event.
Thanks must also go to those businesses who were able to make it along. We look forward to working with you in the future.
If there are any businesses who would like to be involved in the school curriculum please contact the school.
