The College’s management team and the Highlands and Islands Students’ Association Inverness met today to discuss our response to the sharp rise in cases of the Omicron variant and the First Minister’s indication yesterday that more restrictions may be unavoidable.
It is clear we must take additional steps to try and reduce transmission of this virus.
As a result, we have taken the decision to temporarily move most of our teaching to remote delivery when our campuses re-open after the festive break.
This means senior phase programmes scheduled on Friday 7th January and Friday 14th January will be delivered remotely to pupils.
We would ask pupils to look at their student email, as course teams will be in touch directly with pupils on Thursday 6th January with details regarding how to access remote classes.
These measures are temporary to give us time to respond to any further Scottish Government guidance over the break. It is very much our intention that normal, planned delivery will resume w/c Monday 17th January.
Pupils will not be required to attend school on their college day and will be able to access their college work from home.
Please contact the Guidance department if you have any further questions.
