This is the procedure to be followed, in the event of a school closure due to adverse weather. Please read the Parent/Pupil guidelines and discuss with your child/ren what they will need to do in the event that the school is closed.
Each pupil should have a name of a parent/relative/friend who could care for them in the event of an early closure and pupils who travel by school transport will be required to have a name and address of a host family in Grantown, where they could go in the event of school transport not running.
You can call 0800 564 2272 to access Grantown Grammar School’s closure status information. Please note, you will need the unique pin number which is 04 21 50.

School Closures due to other circumstances
Unfortunately, the school may have to close unexpectedly due to unforeseen circumstances. If this is the case, we will alert parents and pupils via email, our website and Facebook pages and if pupils are at school then we will ensure this has been communicated before releasing pupils home or to their adverse weather location.
Please note that the Highland Council school closure messaging service only applies to adverse weather closures.
