Grantown Grammar School pupils have amazing opportunities to visit many exciting and interesting places. All of the residential trips, provide valuable social, cultural, sporting and educational experiences.
Parents, friends and family are also invited to attend the Music and Drama performances held in the school throughout the year. They showcase the incredible talent of our pupils and tickets are available through pupils or from the school office.

Language & Culture Trip – Beijing & Tianjin, China
7- 22 July 2019
This Summer trip is a culture and language immersion course organised jointly by the Confucius Institute for Scotland’s Schools, Hanban and the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission. Only 10 pupils will be selected from the Highland Region to join other pupils from across Scotland on a 2-week trip to Beijing and Tianjin. The course includes Mandarin and Chinese culture lessons and sightseeing in both Beijing and Tianjin. All participants are asked to pay £600 towards the cost of this trip. On successful completion of the course pupils will receive SQA accreditation. Pupils must complete 10 hours of Mandarin study in Scotland before going to China, which will be done in school with our Mandarin teacher.

Snowsports Trip – Alp d’Huez, France

Available to pupils currently in S1-S5, wishing to improve their ability to ski or board in an alpine resort. Whether they are a beginner or a more advanced skier. This trip is available for all no matter what level they are. Grantown Grammar will be joining with Kingussie High School for this amazing experience of a trip away from home with friends, learning and speaking a new language, and taking in the French culture, while enjoying the challenge of tackling new and exciting slopes in the French Alps.
A letter with a payment plan has been sent home to those pupils attending this trip – 14/02/19

Battlefield & Themepark Trip – Belgium & France
15 – 20 February 2020
Open to pupils currently in S3-5. If your child in interested in this 6 day trip to Belgium and France to visit various World War One sites and Theme parks then please read and complete the letter below. This must also be signed by a parent/guardian and an email contact provided.
By handing in the letter this is not a confirmation of a place on the trip but an agreement to go forward to the next stage in the selection process. There are 40 pupil places available. If you are unable to print off a copy of the letter at home please see Mr Abenheimer in Guidance to collect a copy of the letter. Deadline for handing in your letter is Friday 8th of February.
